Blogging and Adsense... making money with it?

No. My answer is absolutely no. I have been blogging for years - different types of blogs, from local news (that one was extremely successful, by the way) to blogging about food and wine. And never made any significant money from Adsense. On the other hand, I got banned from using it years ago... and that might have a small impact on the results.

That said, there was a story a few years back - yes, a true one naturally - about a little girl who like every other little girl loved Disney characters. She loved all of them, not only the princesses. Every day she wrote some story about some of the characters, googled a nice picture of it and put it in. To her fathers amazement he suddenly realized the girl was making thousands every month with her little blog.

Well, there's for sure  many more stories like that going around and many people actually make a lot of money with their blogs. But it is very demanding - lots and lots of hard work. You have to be consistent and write something really good, fun and interesting every single day. For a long time.

And, of course, there are a lot of other tactics too. There's a lot of litterature about this out there, most of it real crap, but i found a nice little book called "Making Sense of Google Adsense" that claim to have almost every answer on how to setup Google Adsense and how to make money with it.

If you feel like trying Adsense out, go ahead have a look. The offer seem to give you a lot of extras too, and those are always fun - very often more rewarding than the offer itself.
